The IRONZON door lock fortifies entrances adding the convenience of smart unlocking with a traditional light up numberpad and key mechanism. It blends into doors creating a contemporary vibe being illuminated at night with LED digits especially since metal key hole is covered up. Setting up the lock initially was challenging to figure out especially as it lacks a wireless bridge for remotely managing. Once put onto doors and configured this lock feels intuitive to either use NFC tags to unlock or touch controls for entering digits. Finger sensor is located right above leaving it exposed to outdoor elements but so far does seem to hold up well. On the inside of this lock has battery slot to keep sensor powered up but can still be manually unlocked with its included set of keys. Overall a robust mechanism does secure the side entrance and straight forward to DIY retrofit onto
Why did I wait so long to get one of these? I had been eyeing one from a different company for a while when I happened across the chance to try this one for free. This one is the same retail of the competitor but with more ways to unlock although this model lacks remote access. This can be unlocked 5 different ways via fingerprint, passcode, included key cards, Bluetooth through the app or actual keys. It’s nice to be able to program and name everyone’s fingerprint(s) or passcodes. It uses the Tuya app which keeps records of when and how it is unlocked and by whom. It’s nice to not have to fidget with keys in the dark or when your hands or arms might be full. Also no more hiding or passing around a key to friends or family for pet and house sitting, etc.
Straight out of the box the unit felt of better quality than I had imagined considering the retail. There was a nicely detailed and illustrated installation book along with door templates in case you are installing from scratch or need to retrofit. I believe this will install and fit in place of a large majority of deadbolts with no extra drilling or cutting needed. From opening the box, inspecting the contents and reading the instructions and programming fingerprints and passcodes I would guess it took 30 minutes to install. It was a painless swap and the app is really easy to use as well.
My only and only complaint. The lock doesn’t work properly without “automatic lock” turned on in the app settings. Leaving it on means that any time you open the lock and disengage the deadbolt it will automatically throw the deadbolt to the lock position after a certain amount of seconds you set up in the app. Say you come home and unlock the door and choose to leave it open for whatever reason, the deadbolt still engages to the lock position. So if you aren’t careful or you have kids, odds are someone is going to shut that door possibly damage the lock or the door frame. I will try to outline this issue visually in my video because if you try to leave that setting off you can’t lock the deadbolt with biometrics, you have to use the physical key.
The Smart Deadbolt lock came with all the necessary parts to install the lock, it was easy to install removed my old lock and installed this one, there was no need for drilling, and it works really well. Also comes with 4 AA batteries.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You will need a gateway that connects to Tuya to use the lock remotely.
The lock has a very clear instruction manual. To connect to the lock Bluetooth needs to be enabled. Setting up the lock was a breeze. What I love is the fingerprint reader is at the perfect angle so it's not awkward to use.
A few things to note:
1. Programing (codes, fingerprints, fobs) need to be configured using the Tuya app.
2. In order to control the lock remotely you need to have a gateway/hub that connects with the Tuya app, otherwise you will not be able to connect to the lock remotely.
I really like the ability having the fingerprint reader as it saves so much time using a code. The reader unlocks the door with a second.
I strongly recommend this smart deadbolt lock if you're searching for a new deadbolt as it works very smoothly. You'll be glad you did!
I am always a little skeptical of the no-name products, but this IRONZON lock is pretty good. As a smart lock, it functions as you would expect - it has a responsive fingerprint reader, quick unlocking, and a few other features that you find on other locks. The fingerprint reader works well - that is the key. This lock is also heftier than many of the others I have ordered - it feels like it is built with quality materials. The installation was simple, and I expect this lock to be durable for a number of years.
These types of locks are life changing. They make life so much easier. You wouldn’t believe how big of an impact it has. First of all. You do not need a device for Wi-Fi access. You do for Bluetooth but not sure why you want that over Wi-Fi. So this has no impact on me. Wireless app function straight out of the box. This is amazing and super useful. I don’t like the speaking aspect of the lock but the app may allow you to turn this off. I just haven’t tried. I do wish the keypad lite up as you walked up because it’s kinda tricky to get this to light up so you can put in the passcode. And another problem is the speaker is on the inside. This is useful while you are inside and you will know if someone is attempting to enter the home. But I think the sound should be on the outside cause it’s difficult to hear if you are putting in the passcode cause there is no haptic feedback on the lock. This was an issue until I started using the fingerprint scanner. A big trick for the fingerprint scanner is add your finger print multiple times. This way your not fighting getting your fingerprint right. Cause it will lock you out after so many failed attempts. You can bypass this with the key in the event this happens. I do like how the key lock is hidden. And it also has a for a type c input in case the batteries die you can plug in a battery to apply power to get inside. If your locked out. But this lock comes in handy so much. My kids don’t need to keep up with there house keys going to school anymore. Anyone comes into town can get inside if no one is home. And the biggest benefit is. When I get home with groceries. I always go straight to getting them out the truck and it’s only when my hands are full I find out the door is locked and I have to set everything down to dig my keys out. Not anymore. I can unlock the door with hands full no problem. Big life changing device for such little cost
